When The Heart beats The Memory

Whenever there are unfamiliar events that we face in life, our brains get stressed and can’t think of any possible ideas to aid our problems, The brain is limited to logical reasoning with the facts, consequences, and algorithms in life that are registered to our memory through experiences. But the heart has its own way of living, if gives us a different kind of feeling that serves as a warning for us to be aware and careful of our actions, and as a go signal to live and cherish the unexpected moments we capture in life.

The brain can only process the ideas we thought about to create actions we need to take place, it can provide us concrete ideas with many possible combinations when facing certain events, it can differentiate right from wrong, and its capacity to learn and store facts is limitless making it intimidating. Meanwhile the heart is so enigmatic it gives us advice that we feel like it’s the answer even though we don’t know what will happen yet.

It is true that the heart is fragile and the brain is invulnerable, but what makes the heart special is its ability to keep on performing despite of being broken unlike the brain that tends to stop working on critical and crucial situations. No matter how many times you try to break someone’s heart, it will continue to live and give meaning to your life.

After we fail to achieve something or fall short in our tasks the first thing we regret is not listening to the heart and saying “I wish I had believed what my heart says” rather than saying “I wish I had thought twice before doing it”.

Even in the field of science, heart has its function that the brain can’t; the heart dies first not because it is weak but because of its intention to pump every last drop of blood and nutrients to the brain so that it will stay alive. The same goes to philosophy itself that means love of wisdom which proves that the heart which symbolizes love is far more superior to the wisdom symbolized by the brain.

It doesn’t matter who functions the most, because being able to give unique and trusted answers that no one else can provide is the true exception amongst them all.
